Community Gallery Program

The Community Gallery Program was created to give local artists a place to shine – not just on walls, but out in the world where people gather, eat, connect, and live their everyday lives. I partner with small businesses, cafés, community hubs, and public spaces to transform their walls into living galleries that showcase emerging and established artists from across our region.

This program is built on accessibility, collaboration, and community care. Artists get the chance to display their work in high-traffic, welcoming spaces without the barriers or pressure of traditional galleries. Businesses get beautiful, ever-changing art that reflects the creativity of the community around them. And the community gets a reason to pause, look closer, and connect with artists they may never have discovered otherwise.

Each installation is curated with intention – uplifting diverse voices, styles, and stories. Featured artists receive support with pricing, promotion, bios, social media features, and sales, making it a nurturing environment for both new and experienced creators.

At its heart, the Community Gallery Program is about creating more places where art can live, breathe, and be part of daily life. It’s about opening doors, building networks, and making sure the creative energy of our community is seen and celebrated.

If you’re an artist, a business owner, or someone who simply wants to champion local creativity, you’re invited to be part of this growing art ecosystem.

Café Miracle is more than a café – it’s a gathering place for creativity, connection, and community art. As the resident curator, I work closely with local artists to transform the walls into a rotating gallery that highlights fresh voices, bold ideas, and the vibrant talent living right here in our region. Every visit offers something new to discover, with exhibitions changing regularly and artists given a beautiful, welcoming space to share their work with the public.

Each month, Café Miracle comes alive during our Arts Night, an open, inclusive evening where creativity takes center stage. Artists, makers, musicians, writers, and community members come together to share work, make connections, and build a network of support and inspiration. It’s a space where anyone – from seasoned professionals to first-time creators – can show up as they are and be part of something meaningful.

We’re also expanding into hands-on creative workshops, offering accessible, engaging art experiences right in the café. From collage and mixed media to community installations and special guest workshops, these sessions make art approachable, playful, and deeply rooted in community. Whether you want to learn a new skill, express yourself, or simply spend time making something beautiful, there will be a space for you at the table.

Café Miracle continues to grow as a cultural heartbeat for our community – a place where art lives on the walls, in conversations, in shared experiences, and in the magic that happens when people create together.

Genesis Kitchen is quickly becoming one of our region’s most joyful creative hubs – a warm, welcoming space where great food meets local art, family-friendly events, and community connection. As the curator for the rotating gallery walls, I work with artists from across the area to bring vibrant, inspiring work into the space. Each exhibition transforms the atmosphere, turning the café into a living gallery that celebrates the imagination and diversity of our creative community.

Genesis Kitchen has also become home to some of our most heartwarming events. Our recent Santa Breakfast filled the entire café with magic – children meeting Santa, families sharing a festive meal, and little hands making ornaments to bring home. It was a beautiful blend of holiday spirit, creativity, and community joy, and just the beginning of what we’re building here.

In the coming months, Genesis Kitchen will host a growing lineup of hands-on art workshops, giving kids, teens, and adults accessible opportunities to explore painting, collage, mixed media, and seasonal crafts. These workshops are designed to be playful, low-pressure, and filled with connection – a chance to create something meaningful in a cozy, supportive environment.

We’re also bringing a curated Art Market to Genesis Kitchen, giving local artists and makers a space to showcase their work, connect with the community, and offer unique, handmade pieces to the public. From original art to prints, ornaments, gifts, and artisan creations, the market will reflect the richness of our local creative scene.

And this is only the beginning. We’re building a calendar filled with creative experiences – from community art installations to themed family nights, artist meet-and-greets, collaborative projects, and new seasonal traditions that will grow year after year.

Genesis Kitchen is becoming a place where art, food, and community weave together – a space where everyone feels welcome, inspired, and part of something special.

Iron Forge is proud to support local artists through its ongoing partnership with the Community Gallery Program. While the space is known first for its craftsmanship and welcoming atmosphere, the team at Iron Forge has made a meaningful commitment to uplifting the creative voices in our region.

The gallery wall at Iron Forge features a rotating selection of artwork from emerging and established local artists. Each exhibition brings new colour, texture, and energy into the space – offering artists valuable exposure and giving visitors a chance to engage with creativity in their everyday environment.

What makes Iron Forge special is its consistency: month after month, season after season, they continue to open their doors to the arts community. Their support helps ensure that local artists have more platforms to be seen, celebrated, and appreciated.

Iron Forge may not host events or workshops, but their ongoing dedication to showcasing local talent plays an important role in strengthening our creative ecosystem. Their gallery wall stands as a quiet but powerful reminder that art belongs everywhere – and that a community grows stronger when its businesses support the people who create within it.

Settlers Ridge Mall, Smiths Falls

Tucked inside one of our favourite local bookshops, The Book’s Better Community Gallery is where stories and art meet on the walls. We carefully curate rotating exhibits that celebrate our vibrant creative community—illustrators, painters, collage artists, writers, and makers whose work deserves to be seen, shared, and talked about.

This cozy, literary-infused space has already hosted joyful hands-on events, from Halloween bookmark-making to magical ornament workshops with Santa himself. And we’re just getting started. Our gallery is growing into a hub for art lovers of all ages, with more creative experiences and community collaborations on the way.

Because here, we believe something important: literary art is art. Books spark imagination, art brings it to life, and together they create a place where everyone belongs.

Current and Upcoming Shows

You can now find a curated collection of my mixed media art, fine art prints, and handcrafted fused glass jewelry at Euphie, the beloved smoothie shop in Embrun that champions local creators. It’s the perfect spot for vibrant colour, good energy, and community connection—whether you’re grabbing your favourite blend or discovering new artwork to bring home. My pieces there reflect the playfulness and texture I love to create, and I’m excited to share them with Euphie’s warm, welcoming crowd.

I’m honoured to be part of the Mig & Tan Charity Exhibition, a cross-border showcase bringing together an inspiring mix of Canadian and American artists in support of a greater good. Alongside exhibiting my work, I’ll be offering a mixed media art class during the show—inviting attendees to create, explore, and connect through hands-on creativity. It’s a beautiful blend of community, collaboration, and art with purpose, and I’m thrilled to contribute to this meaningful event.

The Tipped Shipped in Elgin is a vibrant local hub celebrating artists and makers from across the region, and I’m delighted to have a selection of my fused glass jewelry featured there. This cozy, eclectic shop champions creativity in all its forms—making it the perfect place to discover one-of-a-kind pieces while supporting the community. Stop in to explore beautifully curated handmade goods and find something that speaks to you.

Past Shows

was thrilled to exhibit my mixed media collage in Memento Mori, a thoughtfully curated show by Kayla Spagnoli at Anina’s Café in Ottawa. This evocative exhibition brought together artists exploring memory, impermanence, and the beauty of what we leave behind—creating a deeply atmospheric experience within one of the city’s coziest café spaces. It was an honour to contribute to such a meaningful, art-forward showcase.

Art in the Branches brings vibrant, local creativity into community libraries, and I was honoured to co-exhibit my photography alongside my son Linden for his very first show. This program shines a light on artists of all ages and stages, transforming public spaces into welcoming galleries where everyone can discover and enjoy art. Sharing the walls with Linden in such an accessible, community-rooted venue was a truly special experience.

I’ve had the joy of exhibiting in Luck of the Draw in Dubuque, Iowa for both the 2024 and 2025 shows—a playful, imaginative exhibition where artists are each assigned a single playing card and create artwork inspired by it. The result is a wildly diverse and compelling collection that celebrates creativity, chance, and artistic interpretation. Being part of this unique cross-border tradition has been a highlight of my exhibition history, and I’m grateful to contribute to its ongoing story.

There are always new shows and exhibitions on the horizon…

…and this is merely a selection, not an exhaustive list!
